Despite small advances, young girls in Haiti do not have access to education and the contribution of women to the economy is minimal. as compared to men.
SOWCoders fist launched its coding camp in Haiti in 2018 and has been going back each year ever since.We have on-ground staff and alumni- run chapter that continues to train girls locally through our platform.
Apart from the intensive coding project, our past coding camps in Haiti consisted of Series of Haitian Women In Tech sessions and Q&A, Final Project Presentation day, Laptop prize distribution and fun giveaways.
